This is a permanent full time position working in Southend within a small accounts team.  The position reports in directly to the Financial Director and offers the unique opportunity to work Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.


My client is a group of seven companies who are all individually registered and have monthly management accounts produced, so you will ideally have an understanding of Inter Company Trading although this is not essential.


As Financial Accountant your role will include:

•	Overseeing the daily running of the Finance Department in the absence of the Financial Director
•	Supervising credit control on a daily basis
•	Inter Company Trading, including coding and costing inter company transactions and ensuring that the relevant entries are posted and agreed to the nominal ledger at the end of each month
•	Monthly reconciliation of employees and employers pension contributions
•	Monthly analysis of company credit cards liaising with cardholders where required to obtain relevant receipts
•	Compiling monthly VAT return for UK companies and quarterly return for Dublin
•	Compiling and analysing weekly cash and float expenses
•	Ensuring relevant Purchase Orders are raised for expenses
•	Assisting the Financial Director on the day to day management of cash forecasting, movement of funds and internal receipts and payments
•	Liaising with Auditors as required
•	Ad hoc duties as requested by Finance Director

To be considered for this position you will need to have previous Financial Accountant experience and should ideally have an industry recognised Accounting qualification.  Skills required include good computer skills, strong communication skills and the ability to supervise / manage a small team.

I am looking for someone with at least 2 years purchasing experience to join my client in Basildon.  As well as procurement experience, this position requires someone with strong negotiation and analytical skills as well as experience of working with spreadsheets.


This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring J.I.T delivery of stock materials to business requirements in addition to sourcing and placing non stock orders.  You will also be responsible for achieving lean stock control through efficient order management process and expediting whilst working with suppliers to achieve cost savings, improve lead times and other key deliverables.


Duties will include:

	Monitoring supplier performance and provide regular feedback
	Complete analysis on usage / spend / forecast data to support purchasing activity
	Complete supplier tendering process and appraisal where relevant
	Sourcing items from either approved or new suppliers where needed
	Working with engineering and factory management to identify cost reduction opportunities and areas of waste

Applicants who are part or full CIPS qualified are preferred, although this is not essential.  You must however be goal orientated and actively able to seek alternative solutions.

This is a permanent full time position which requires someone who is technically minded ideally with experience of SQL, although this is not essential.

This Data Analyst role incorporates a lot of database work so it is essential that you have strong Access database experience.  As well as strong analyst skills you should also have good client relation skills and be happy to liaise with clients on the phone as well as via email.

The successful candidate will join a small team responsible for the electronic transmission of daily data feeds to clients.  You will also receive requests from clients to edit or add to the data / design bespoke access databases and as part of your role you will be required to liaise with other internal departments so that you are able to respond to the client.

My client is a subsidiary of one of the largest corporate business information groups in the UK.  They are currently looking for a Database Account Executive to join them in their Basildon offices on a permanent full time contract.  

To be considered for this position you will need to be a graduate (or the equivalent) with a Business or Media degree with strong communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload.  You should also be computer literate and should be capable of working both as part of a team as well as individually.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm with an hour for lunch and will be responsible for promoting and selling databases and related services to both new and existing customers.  Working closely with the marketing team your tasks will include identifying new areas and methods for promoting my clients products and services and following up all leads in a timely fashion.
