Generalist Human Resources Officer

Chelmsford, Essex

£35,000 - £43,000

My client, a large Investment company based in Chelmsford is currently looking to appoint a People Relationship Manager. This is a permanent full time position based within the Human Resources and Development Department.

To be considered for this position you will need previous human resources experience and must be CIPD qualified or hold a relevant HR qualification. You will also need experience of working at HR Generalist level in a dynamic and pro active environment and will ESSENTIALLY have previous financial services experience.

The successful applicant will be the one point of contact for Human Resources & Development related matters and will be expected to own issues / queries from start to finish. You will be required to build and develop relationships with line managers, providing a daily HR service to both staff and line managers. Other areas of responsibility will include:

• Contributing to the continued development of HR policies and procedures
• Promoting positive employee relations
• Supervising and co-ordinating all recruitment and selection activities
• Attending regular 1:1 meetings and management meetings to understand the business area objectives and business plans to enable effective prioritisation of daily workload
• Managing the training needs analysis referral and attendance of business area delivering training nominations and onto central courses
• Liaising with the Compensation and Benefits Analyst on compensation and job evaluations and ensure compliance with the established Compensation and Benefits infrastructure

The ideal candidate for this position will have worked in a similar role before, have strong computer and communication skills, be able to remain calm when under pressure and should be self motivated with the ability to work with little or no direct supervision.

We are looking for someone who has worked with SMALLER DEPARTMENTS of ideally 400 -800.
