We have an exciting opportunity to work for a large expanding company in the Chelmsford Area.
Do you have underwriting experience with an analytical and mathematical mind if so then we need you!
Roles and Responsibilities :
To deal with and make decisions on:-
i) quotations
ii) mid-term adjustments
iii) renewals
by using judgement, within agreed Personal Underwriting Authority Limits, on the acceptance or otherwise of a risk and the application of either "scale" or suitable rates.
To continue with negotiations leading to policy issue/policy amendment/renewal.
To maintain contact with Brokers for the above purposes and to develop relationships to encourage support for both new business and renewals including occasional broker visits.
To ensure smooth and prompt flow of business through system to agreed service standards, systems and processes.
To assist and help any less senior staff with any problems arising.
To maintain good relationships with Head Office and other departments.
General maintenance of policy files.
Develop self in order to maximise personal contribution to the job
Focus on costs, process improvements and/or efficiency to contribute to the profitability of insurance.
Reinforce the culture and core values of the company through appropriate behaviours and actions.
Be aware of and comply on an ongoing basis with the rules and requirements of the General Insurance Standards.
