Head of UK Security
Basildon
£40,000 - £50,000 + car + generous benefits package
This is a permanent full time position based in Basildon working for a large manufacturing company. As Head of UK Security you will report directly to the UK Operations Manager and will be responsible for all matters relating to security across the company’s UK sites. You will be responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive and effective security strategy, combining physical and IT security disciplines which address the needs of the company whilst ensuring that the cost base for the security function is optimised.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
• Ensuring company complies with UK Government Security Policies and UK legislative requirements
• Ensuring the company sites maintain their Security Accreditation status
• Establishing and maintaining effective liaison links with external professional security operations both in the UK and abroad
• Ensuring site Security Controllers are implementing consistently a set of procedures that will ensure the company meets its security related obligations on a daily basis
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified or similar with security related qualifications. You must have comprehensive experience of security management in a similar sensitive industry as well as excellent communication skills. You should also be able to demonstrate your ability to assimilate and appropriately react to the impact and sensitivity of security issues and be capable of appreciating and interpreting IT security requirements.
