My client is a subsidiary of one of the largest corporate business information groups in the UK. They are currently looking for a Database Account Manager to join them in their Basildon offices on a permanent full time contract.
The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm with an hour for lunch and will be responsible for promoting and selling databases and related services to both new and existing customers. Working closely with the marketing team your tasks will include identifying new areas and methods for promoting my clients products and services and following up all leads in a timely fashion.
Other duties will include:
• Promoting products to both new and existing customers, using the telephone, email and post
• Managing and maintaining accurate records
• Providing quotations to customers in a timely and efficient manner
• Attending conferences, seminars and meetings
• Account management
• Working closely with another sales team to ensure prospects are managed to maximum effect
At least two years business to business sales experience is essential for this position along with excellent communication skills. You should also have experience of face to face presentations and business meetings and should be able to work both as part of a team and independently. You should be computer literate and ideally have knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
