| We are looking for a highly motivated Pre-Commencement Bid Manager with significant experience in Quantity Surveying, looking to further develop their skills within Pre-Commencement. The role will be based in Chelmsford but will involve travel within the M25 area. Successful applicants will preferably possess a BSc in Surveying and or membership of a recognised body (MCIOB,RICS) and must have experience of working on new build affordable social housing projects. Applicants possessing developer experience may also be suitable. The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of JCT and other forms of contract and possess a strong appreciation of project processes and risk management. Commercial awareness and the ability to carry out accurate cost/value forecasting and risk management are essential along with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Applicants must have both a financial and construction background. The successful applicant will be required to attend client interviews, collate and control the bid, assess and distribute the workload and act as the key contact between GTP and the client. |
