We have a new an exciting opportunity to join the team of our expanding Witham client as a Accounts Administrator.
The role & responsblities:
Responsible for the monthly invoice routine on inhouse system & Sage, printing & collating all documents, and ensuring that all invoices etc. are sent out accurately and on time.
Set up any new Corporate accounts in Sage, and maintain the mail merge spreadsheet needed to produce the month end invoicing letters.
Produce Excel statements of account for all of the corporate accounts, and distribute them before the end of the second week in the month. Produce summary of corporate net position.
Follow up statements with telephone calls to encourage prompt payment of service invoices, and correct processing of remarketing advice notes/invoices. Provide corporate customers with duplicate invoices, explanations of their account and RDC`s self bill scheme if necessary.
Be responsible for maintaining all debt level spreadsheets and attending monthly meetings with other team members to discuss percentage targets.
Compile information to support the invoicing and reporting of the collect & recycle department
Raise customer recycling reports and compliance statements for customers each week, for month end reconciliation and sign off.
Provide accounts clerk with back up information for the production of invoices
Set up and maintain a database of all corporate customers using our self bill scheme.
Keep a record of utility bills to ensure monthly activity is noted, all bills are received and paid on time, and notifying Assistant Financial controller in a timely manner of any accruals which need to be made.
Ad hoc project work for Assistant Financial Controller & Head of Finance as well as assisting other members of accounts team.
Help cover for absent members of the accounting team wherever possible
Essential skills needed for the role:
Part qualified AAT an advantage.
Practical knowledge of Sage accounting software.
Practical knowledge of accounting principles.
Practical knowledge & experience of developing and maintaining good customer relations.
Good interpersonal communication skills
Computer literate in use of Excel, Word, Access and e-mail.
