We are seeking a highly motivated professional (self starter) who is able to develop new and existing business.
An exciting opportunity to be part of a small team has arisen working for an Essex based Specialist Transport Contractor to head the main sales activities. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for potential customers.
The job requires a self motivated person with an ability to work on their own initiative.
Main activities:
- Secure new customers, maintain existing customers
- Sales quotes
- To network with customers, agents and organisers is instrumental in awarding appointments/work
- Follow up on leads produced internally
- Maintain regular sales and agency calls either by telephone or by personal visit.
- Prepare and present correspondence and quotations for tendering clients
- Ongoing development of sales and marketing activities
The ideal candidate should have a knowledge of the freight industry and ideally the exhibition industry.
Salary negotiable- dependent on experience.
