Location: Ipswich
Salary: GBP28,000 Plus Package,Bonus
PLANT CHEMIST
Needs good chemical manufacturing experience, highly decisive and assertive individual to take charge of plant trials and process improvements preferably with a polymers background
We are currently looking for an innovative Plant Chemist to assist the Development Manager in developing and implementing new materials, products and processes across the plant.
You will be responsible for evaluating new raw materials and formulations and work closely with external suppliers through the evaluation stage both in the laboratory and full plant trials.
You will assist the Development Manager to develop and evaluate new products and assist the ongoing enhancement of our production processes and help solve chemical related problems as they arise.
In addition you will be responsible for the preparation of work instructions, specifications and safety assessments.
You will either be educated to degree level in a chemistry discipline or be able to demonstrate previous experience of mechanical and chemical systems in a chemical manufacturing environment.
You may have previous involvement in lean manufacturing techniques and an eagerness to learn. You will be a good team player and have excellent communication, decision making and leadership skills in order to work across the company and in partnership with external suppliers.
