European Sales Executive

Morningstar is growing its Equity Research Services targeted to institutional investment firms based in Europe. The European Sales Executive will help maintain and grow Morningstar\'s market presence by providing a full range of equity research services to portfolio managers, directors of research, research analysts, and private bankers. The position will be based in one of Morningstar\'s European offices, and at least 50% of your time will be spent meeting with clients and prospects throughout the region.

As the European Sales Executive, you will match client needs with Morningstar\'s Equity Research Services in a consultative manner. You will convey extensive knowledge of our methodologies, analyst expertise, pricing, and value proposition to sophisticated investors. You will generate leads from industry contacts, publications, trade show lists, business directories, databases, and websites. You will drive revenue by proactively identifying and cultivating prospective clients and build long-term relationships through introductory calls, meetings, and trials. You will consult with local country managers, sales managers, and global product managers to establish annual sales target, then meet them on a quarterly and annual basis. The European Sales Executive will coordinate prospecting, support, and revenue-generating activities with a large Morningstar European sales force. You will provide regular pipeline reports, customer feedback, and market research knowledge to U.S.-based product managers to enhance product development efforts and the customer experience.

We re looking for a self-motivated person with strong quantitative and analytical skills who excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment. This person should have proven success in growing sales, achieving sales targets, and building long-term relationships. Several years of sales or business development experience are required. Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication skills are required, as are strong presentation and negotiation abilities for working with clients and prospects with sophisticated investment knowledge. Candidates should also have a demonstrated interest in stock investing. A bachelor\'s degree is required; an advanced degree or relevant qualification such as an MBA, CFA, CPA, or CFP is preferred.
