Job Description
Leading asset management house is looking to recruit PMO with training or mentoring experience.
The candidate will be part of large strategic IT programme.
The role will have the responsibility of mentoring and training people with a technical background to give them the skill and knowledge to take on a project management role. During the mentoring process, the candidate will also act as project manager, preparing and tracking project plans, assigning resources, maintaining documentation, and divisional reporting.
The candidate should be confident and an agent of change. Strong MS Project skills and experience of large programmes of work are essential.
Essential skills:
* Excellent change management skills: the ability to obtain buy in from business and IT staff and overcome any resistance
* A confident leader with demonstrable people management skills
* Technologies required: Lotus Notes and associated Lotus databases (essential), MS Project (essential), Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Windows knowledge.
Knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS) is an advantage.
* Previous experience working within the project framework, utilising Project Management methodologies.
* Has expertise in mentoring and training.
