Finance Manager based near Romford
An opportunity has arisen to take on this senior role within the Finance Department. Reporting in to the Financial Controller.
Key responsibilities:
Controlling the Finance department, including achieving a thorough understanding of the objectives and time scales set. This will involve the use of internal systems to monitor and report on progress
Working with other departments to develop and maintain a strategic perspective
Managing a team of 7 and liaising with the company's management in order to fulfil objectives
Promoting a team atmosphere
Ensuring the company's internal control and treasury policies and procedures are followed
Preparation of monthly financial reports and reviewing target business objectives against budget with comments and reasons for variances
Liaising with external organisations such as auditors, suppliers, HMRC, etc
Deal with the filing statutory returns
Participate in management meetings at all levels as required
Deputise for the Financial Controller in his absence
Key Experience required:
Strong management skills having had experience in controlling a small team in a financial environment
Strong experience in project accounting and job costing
Knowledge of Pegasus Opera is essential
