Be a critical part of an award winning team at the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) who ensure the production of world leading journals and databases for the Scientific community worldwide
As a Technical Editor, your role is to carry out the production of RSC journals from acceptance to publication and the production of RSC databases. You will:
• make sure our journal articles and database products are produced on time and to a high standard of accuracy
• edit and correct articles to ensure the science is clear
• Use your scientific knowledge to contribute to technical enhancements which enable to us to be leaders in the scientific publishing world.
We are looking for graduates who have:
• A good honours degree or PhD in a chemical or related science.
• Accuracy and an excellent eye for detail.
• The ability to make thoughtful and rapid decisions
• Proven organisational and time management skills demonstrating the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Impressive communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• The ability to identify the key chemical aspects of research papers across all areas of chemistry.
• Computer literacy.
