    We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our Chelmsford based client within a varied opportunity as a Claims Manager

    So if you are looking to take the next step in your career or have experience within the Insurance sector this could be the role for you!!!

    Purpose of the role:

    To manage new and existing claims for allocated clients

    Key duties & responsibilities:

    To manage a portfolio of property and liability claims
    Negotiating, settling and determining policy liability from cradle to grave on behalf of allocated Housing Associations, up to delegated authority limit of £25,000

    Liasing with insurers on cases involving injuries and that exceed limit
    Effectively managing portfolio to ensure SLA`s are adhered to, FSA Guidelines complied with and accurate reserves are recorded to ensure information is up to date and accurate.

    Dealing with telephone enquiries on policy cover and providing assistance to leaseholder/tenants/shared owners and Housing associations.

    Liasing with Housing Associations to keep them advised of claims progression.

    Writing reports on claims received, analysis of trends identified to assist the Account Directors in managing the clients expectations at renewals and risk assessment.

    Technical knowledge required: Preferably 1-2 years experience in a customer service environment with knowledge of both/either/or property/ liability property claims.

    ability to identify and adapt to continuous improvement
    Good knowledge of insurance principals, policy cover and claims handling skills.
