The idea candidate will have experience in high-speed analogue and digital design. Main responsibilities will be designing digital circuits for new products and updating existing products. Experience to include: Microprocessors, memory, FPGA and ADCs in excess of 50MHz. Basic FPGA design in VHDL (memory and data bus interfacing). PCB layout for performance and EMC compliance (ideally hands on experience) and Product architectural design and microprocessor firmware design. Knowledge of the following would be an advantage: High speed design with parallel data bandwidths in excess of 200MHz, analogue design including op-amps, filters and attenuators, Xilinx specific FPGA devices and design tool sets as well as USB and wireless interfaces. Other useful skills will include mechanical design of enclosures and accessories and automotive electronic systems (sensor interfacing and waveforms).
