Our client is currently seeking a Interoperability Engineer to be responsible for the interoperability of products/equipment with recently developed Bluetooth and other wireless technology products/equipment on the open market.
MAIN DUTIES:
* Maintains the detailed Interoperability suite of test cases.
* Helps define the Interoperability Group test processes and problem analysis/resolution processes.
* Executes interoperability testing of new Bluetooth and other wireless technology products against other end products on the market.
* Gathers air traces of issues found and analyses those traces to pinpoint where the issue lies and what the proposed solutions might be.
* Communicates issues to the relevant engineers and project manages the resolution of IOP issues in our client's software
* Creates technical specifications for any changes required to third party software and communicates these changes to the external third parties (with a view to improving Interoperability of devices across the market).
* Monitors and procures third party end products and arranges testing in the laboratory.
* Develops knowledge of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other technologies under test.
* Develops and maintains the Interop Device Database and Interop Test Results Database
SKILLS:
* Ability in assessing and diagnosing faults in an analytical manner
* Degree or equivalent qualification
* Self motivated
* Ability to work autonomously
* Good communication skills
* Interest in Bluetooth / Wi-Fi technology
* Experience in interoperability and/or system testing
* Competent in computer networking
