Our client, a long established manufacturing company, are seeking an experienced Planning Manager. This role will involve small team management- to recruit, train and motivate staff, monitor their performance and encourage their personal and professional development.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To manage the planning team, to ensure day to day responsibilities are performed within time scales and quality required; developing planning programmes, knowledge, staff and working practices in order to improve delivery performance, productivity, throughput and product flow.
To produce, agree, communicate, monitor and maintain the master plans for production within the print, factory and bureau departments; optimisation of current and forward workloads.
Development,implementation and monitoring of a new planning tool, incorporating the changing needs of information flow requirements for all areas of the company, training other planning team members and production personnel, develop procedures and best working practices for the department.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Planning/production planning experience and you will be able to demonstrate knowledge specifically linked to the role: Scheduling and planning, analysing, interpretation, working with data, working to objectives
EDUCATIONAL/GENERAL ATTAINMENTS:
Microsoft Windows, Lotus Notes/emails; Excel (advanced), GCSEs -standard education in English and Mathematics (or equivalent) A level (equivalent)
